Book II · Teacher's Guide Licensing 教师指南授权
The Teacher's Guide is licensed rather than sold. Because it grants the right to teach the A-R-E, P.P.F.E. and F-E-E-L frameworks, access goes through a short review — not a shop button. Individual teachers, training centres and institutional partners are all welcome.
Three Licensing Tiers
Every tier includes the Teacher's Guide, the twelve ready-to-run lesson plans, marking templates and the L1-transfer teaching toolkit. Tiers differ by how many teachers may deliver the method and what use of the frameworks is permitted.

Frequently Asked Questions
Because the Teacher's Guide includes the delivery method behind the A-R-E, P.P.F.E. and F-E-E-L frameworks. Buying the Guide gives you the text; a licence gives you the right to teach the method in a professional setting. Those are two different things, and they carry different responsibilities.
Licensing also lets us keep quality consistent. When teachers deliver the method under a licence, students receive it the way the books teach it, not a diluted or misapplied version.
No. If you bought the books, teach from them — that is what buying a book is for, and I would rather you did.
A licence is for teachers who want the delivery system rather than the source material: twelve ready-to-run lesson plans, the marking and feedback templates, the L1-transfer teaching toolkit, and the classroom materials that turn three frameworks into a taught course. It is a saving of preparation time — roughly a term of it — not a permission slip.
The one thing a licence does grant is the right to name the method publicly. Advertising that you teach the Deen Cox IELTS method — in your marketing, on your website, to prospective students — is a use of a registered name, and that requires a licence. Teaching well in your own classroom does not.
Two things, and it is worth being precise about them.
The materials. Everything a teacher would otherwise build themselves: lesson plans with timings and board work, marking protocols, a criterion-tagged comment bank, assessment templates, and the teaching notes for every chapter of the student books. Most teachers estimate this at thirty to fifty hours of preparation.
The name. The right to state publicly that you are a licensed teacher of the Deen Cox IELTS method, and to use that in how you present your courses. For a training centre this is a marketing asset; for an individual tutor it is a credential.
What you are not paying for is permission to teach structured answers. Nobody owns that, and I would not claim to.
Pricing depends on tier, teacher headcount and duration — there is no single public price because the three tiers differ substantially in scope. We discuss numbers privately after an enquiry, once the setting is understood.
What we can say publicly:
Every licence includes:
The student books are included rather than sold separately for a practical reason: the Teacher's Guide is chapter-by-chapter teaching notes keyed to them. Without the books, a licensee cannot follow their own licence.
If you have already bought the student books, that purchase is credited in full against your first year.
No. Tell us at the enquiry stage and the amount you paid is credited in full against your first licence year. You will still be issued fresh watermarked copies carrying your licence number, so that every file you hold is registered to you.
No — and not only for licensing reasons. The Guide is a set of teaching notes written against specific chapters of the two student books; on its own it would be a manual for equipment you do not have. Every licence therefore ships as a set.
The books, the worked examples, the lesson plans and the templates are copyright Deen Cox, first published in the Deen Cox IELTS Series. The framework names — A-R-E, P.P.F.E., F-E-E-L, SCORE, OPAL, QSCAN, BLUEPRINT, PEEC, LINK, SWAP, MIX, PRIME, TREND and COMPARE — are the teaching labels of that method. “Deen Cox” is a registered name.
Licensees agree to attribute the method correctly and not to present it as their own creation. What is asked is ordinary professional honesty rather than anything unusual: teach the method, name where it came from, and do not republish the materials.
Yes — teaching practice is expected to adapt. What isn't permitted is redistributing the Teacher's Guide, the lesson plans, or the marking templates as your own, or presenting the frameworks as if they were developed in-house.
Yes. All three tiers can include optional teacher onboarding — a structured session on how the method actually runs in class, what to listen for in student answers, and how to give feedback that generalises rather than corrects.
The Teacher's Guide and student books are written in English. The "Chinese Learner Insight" panels are labelled in both English and 中文, and the L1-Transfer material names the specific errors Mandarin and Cantonese speakers actually make. Institutional partners have in the past commissioned adapted Chinese-language teacher notes as part of larger agreements.
Within 48 hours during the working week. Initial enquiries receive a personal reply (not an autoresponder) with a tier recommendation, indicative timeline, and next-step call arrangement if appropriate.
Deen Cox IELTS operates through Innovate Consulting Pty Ltd (Beijing Office). Chinese institutional partners have paid via 对公转账 (bank transfer) and other China-standard invoicing methods before. This is a straightforward part of the enquiry.
